PINK

I really love Valentines Day because my favorite colors are EVERYWHERE(I am really into using my CAPS lock for those of you who haven't noticed)

Our Weekend Update:
1. we had a garage sale...yes I know it's the middle of winter and yes I know I live in Oregon for those of you who were tempted to tell me that...I do know. Here are some things I learned.
  • we had a wide variety of people show up for this amazing event...I never new I would be so popular!
  • my new friend john, a professional yard saler, he's been in the business for 6 years now, helped us out a lot on the organizing and pricing bright and early.
  • people are desperate for other people's junk...one guy was outside our house by 7:30 in the morning...Matt came in our room and said someone had been sitting outside our house for a while now so he went out to ask if he needed something...no he just wanted to get the early bird special
  • after the age of...I'd say 10 you should no longer wear stretchy pants without a proper covering on your behind, especially when your sixty and ESPECIALLY not when you are wearing inappropriate underwear.
  • you should not wear stretchy pants tucked into ankle boots, ever.

2. Matt and I saw Juno. We asked our friends if it was okay to take Molly to since it looked like it might be a little inappropriate. Oh no they assured us. Well it was, a little, but I think it did the job of making her never want to be alone with a boy...way to go Juno.

3. Since I am forever obsessed now with teenage fiction books and am dying waiting for more twilight to come out, I decided to read Blue Bloods...another vampire book. Really cheesy, waste of time, but of course it gave me my fix. Now I am reading a book called a Great and Terrible Beauty(I think) and I like it so far...I've only read a few chapters but it seems intense!

That's all for now.

ONE MORE THING

Sally reminded me that I've never mentioned what happened to Reggie...it's a long story but in the end we gave him to my little brother. I decided to put Reggie on craigslist just to see if anyone would even be interested in him(many people have told me how terrible I am for doing that...) Well it turns out that EVERYONE wants a Reggie, which I was not prepared for. So Matt and I finially decided on a family to give him to...I hung up the phone with the man who was addopting him and right then Wil(my 13 year old brother) came bursting through my door saying that his mom said he could have Reggie and wanted to take him home. I said I already promised him to someone else, Wil cried(and I mean he REALLY cried), then I cried. So I called Matt and he said too bad that Wil wanted him because we already gave him away to someone else and what was Wil going to do with a dog....then I said he was a jerk and I cried again. Matt came home I told him the story again while we were packing up Reggie's things then Matt got teary because he was going to miss Reggie and he was feeling bad for Wil. I made Matt call the other man back and say we changed our minds and then we bought a big red bow and took Reggie over to Wil's house to surprise him. They are now best friends and we are all happy. I said it was a long story.....

WE ARE BORING

Well I have not updated our blog in quite some time and that's because we are just boring people. Matt broke our camera so I haven't been taking any pictures and that's all I really like to post on here anyways so.....I got a new job working at a local spa. I haven't started quite yet because the place is new and I'm still waiting for some essentials but I think it will be a really great place to work once it's up and running.
Matt is going back so school next week...I can't wait for him to be done with school, it seems like it's taking forever.
Our New Years Resolutions Family Style
1. No more soda(which just might kill me since I'm pretty sure I'm in love with it)
2. We are getting buff
3. Early morning runs(so far they have been late afternoon runs but at least we are doing it)
4. No chips (maybe corn chips for me since chips and salsa is my fav...we'll see)

Names the Game

So we decided to name our little puppy Reggie. His full name is, ready for it...Prince Reggie Chocolate Cupcake Snowflake Lake. That was all the silly names I could think of the the ones we like for reals all rolled up into one. Matt loves it, it's so manly.

Here comes the sad part. We really aren't dog people. I suppose that is why you shouldn't buy things on an impulse, especially living, breathing things that don't come with a reciept. I think we decided we should sell him. We really love him but we can't spend enough time with him to really make him as happy as he should be. So if you know anyone who would love him to pieces and needs a Christmas present let us know.

New Dog

Well we were driving to Molly's basketball tourny today and we happened to see a man on the corner with dogs for sale...looks like we got one! I'm still not very sure how this all happened, it was very much an impulse buy, which I have been known to do a few times in my life. He is a rhodesian ridgeback...they were bred to hunt lions in Africa...pretty rad. We are having troubles on a name. Here are some options...
1. Cupcake(my favorite...he doesn't know he's a boy)
2. Teancum (Mr. T for short)
3. Gary
4. Thor
5. Bison
6. Sweats (that suggestion is from our little friend Jake, he's three)
Wish us luck...and if we decide we aren't dog people afterall you know what you'll be getting for Christmas!!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Matt recently got out his mission boxes and we have spent the last few days going through them all trying to get more organized...as we were doing so I stumbled across some fabulous pictures that I thought needed to be shared!

Look very closely and you will see that Matt has been shopping in the 80's girls department...yikes

Slick hair was in in the fourth grade...he has it down to a tee

I love the flannel sweater vest

Now onto me...it took me quite awhile to find any pictures of me that weren't cute, because lets face it...I was a cute kid...but I did manage to find some gems!

I bet you all didn't know I used to be a boy...I decided one day I wanted to look like my dad so I cut all of my hair off...the outfit sure helps pull the look together.

I chose this one to demonstrate the proper bang...it should start in the middle of your head to get the most use out of it
Yes I have a uni-brow and a missing tooth...classy.
