What's There To Do In Laredo You Ask?

I know a lot of you have been wondering what we do in such a rad place like Laredo! Don't be jealous.

Luckily we are close to San Antonio so we could spend some time with our favorite gals!

We hit up the Alamo...and the River Walk. I totally thought I was on some cool vacation!

Matt scares Ty and ensures that I will forever be his new favorite friend...

We do dishes by hand...who does that by the way? Aren't dish washers required these days?

We get our hair permed...twice!

LARD Burgers

Yes that's right Lard Burgers. I guess in Texas they are known to put lard in their burger meat. Sounds gross I know BUT it is delicious! I am going to go out on a limb and say that these were the best burgers I've ever had!

Matt and Scott loved them so much they couldn't even put them down to smile for the camera!

Matt is in love with his lard burger...I might be jealous

Sea World San Antonio

Wow it's been awhile since I've blogged! We had many adventures in Laredo this summer! We went with Matt, Cam, Ty, Kristin, Greg, Mady and Scott to Sea World before Molly left for girls camp. Can I just tell you how stinkin hot it was! I had to buy new clothes when I got there because apparently we didn't get the memo to wear our bikinis!! Seriously. I think we were the only people in all of Sea World wearing jeans!

Matt n Molls

We got to see Shamu...he was rad!

Ty was impressed

I'm not quite sure how this happened but somehow I ended up on this ride!!! I HATE rides. From the parking lot this looks like a fun little water slide...Matt was stoked that I even wanted to go on a ride so we headed straight for it. Um hello...this thing goes up way high and then spins in circles then turns you backwards and makes you go down a little hump spins you in circles again and then drops you! Once I saw the ride more clearly I decided this was not the ride for me....but I was being a trooper(or peer pressured) so I stayed. Matt and Matt may have scares for life from my fingernails but hey that's the price you pay for taking me along...

See the hump?

Who's that crazy girl?

Hiking

So many people loved our hiking picture(and I am bored) so I thought I would explain it. In detail.

Last year for spring break we went to Palm Springs to visit my Dad and Rhonda, while we were there my dad took us on a little hiking trip on an Indian Reservation. It started out really pretty and flat and we were surrounded by really big palm trees. Then my dad, I don't know why I ever expect anything different, decides to take us off the trail....
To these rocks he thought we should climb up to get to the top of the canyon(even though there were signs to stay on the trail)

As you can see I was having a rough go at it from the start...

After a few rocks my dad decided it wasn't such a good idea with me there so we headed back down. For some reason on the way up we bi-passed this little river but on the way down we had to either walk through it or stay on the edge of the rocks to get to the other side. After taking one look at the water I decided I would rather die than touch the water so...

After a couple of tries to jump onto the rock...
Matt found me a stick that he thought I could use to fling myself up...like the high jumpers do...I feel like no one in my family has every met me before

Molly apparently found this very funny

I finally made it onto the rock and then slid right into the water...people ask me if I'm really crying and I think I really might have been. It felt like a very long fall from where I was and the water was disgusting. I was also sort of laughing, out of panic, so it's really hard to say!

I want you all to notice Matt in the background...

Matt's still laughing and I'm still...crying?

Whew, I finally made it and my dad once again tells me he is never taking me hiking(rafting, skiing, fishing, camping...) ever again.

I think all in all it was a good thing I fell off when I did because I don't think I could have pulled THIS off...

Nice team work
