Spring Break Part Uno

We had a super rad spring break up in Eugene this year. Matt had the week off, Molls had two weeks off due to budget cuts and I was done with school....so we decided to head up to Eugene and go over to the coast. Our super rad friends Matt and Cam and their kiddos came for a couple of days to join us all the way from B-town, Boise that is. We decided to give them the true Oregon experience and took them to Florence for a day filled with Mo's, wind, rain, rain and more rain. Poor Cam brought her flip flops along...she thought we were going to a normal beach. You know like the ones in the movies. I should have instructed her to bring galoshes. Despite the weather they got to see many things from the car: the ocean, old town, you know the way the coast is meant to be seen. I learned a thing or two from our little trip. First of all I don't really like Mo's...I like the idea of Mo's, but I do not actually like Mo's. Second of all don't ever make plans or invite people from out of town to join you at the coast assuming that you will have good weather, because inevitably you won't. And third, 11 buckaroos is far too expensive to see the stinking sea lions in the stinking(literally) sea lion caves.

Here's Matt and Cam picking out salt water taffy from the endless wall of salt water taffy

Here's Molls looking so thrilled to be joining us on our adventure...don't you see it? Thrilled.

This is what happens when it's your free day in an ice cream parlor...watch out.

This free day conveniently turned into a free week...we don't drink around here on spring break we gorge ourselves. To each his own.

See her flip flops?

This is what you look like after walking from the delightful sea lion caves to your car. Hot.
