Pear Blossom...Remember This?

Here we go again. Saturday is the big day...wish us luck. A lot of luck. Updates to come(If I survive)

So Matt and I decided to run the Pear Blossom 10 Mile Run this year(actually I decided and made Matt do it with me). We got back from Utah Friday night, just in time for our run Saturaday morning. I have to say I was pretty un motivated to do it but since we left Utah early just to run it I thought I probably should suck it up and do it. Matt would probably have a different perspective on things(and much funnier stories) but I think overall it went very well...it took us 1hr 53min. Our goal was to finish before two hours. We were very slow in comparison(which our greatest friend Bryan so kindly pointed out) and were behind an old, out of shape lady that shuffled her feet for the entire run. Matt kept saying come on babe she is NOT going to beat us and I kept saying stop talking to me and she is going to beat us so just don't make it worse. Here's a little taste of the last two miles

Matt: Come on babe

Me: Please stop saying that...please just don't talk to me you are making it worse

Matt: Come on you can do it babe we are almost there

Me: I said PLEASE don't talk to me...this sucks...my feet hurt and I want to be done

Matt: Oh come on babe don't quit you can do it

Me: Stop talking to me...I'm not going to quit what are you talking about....just stop talking

Matt: I know but you can do it

Me: I know I can do it that's what I'm doing just stop talking

Matt: If you want me to stop talking why do you keep responding?

Me: Are you kidding? Just stop.

On and on for two miles...then I was grouchy until we got home and I got some food. Then for the next two days my knees hurt so bad I could hardly move. And we are so pumped to do it again next year!!!!
