Uni-Lame

Where to start...

Well first off I should be a fortune teller and make big bucks...I was so right about how my Tuesday night of rest would go. I couldn't fall alseep until 12:00...I was fidgiting in my sleep until 2:00 when I finally got up to go to the bathroom. At 2:10 Matt woke up and said he thought he was going to throw up! Yikes! Anyone that has known me for longer than 5 minutes knows that my WORST fear in life is to throw up. I can not even hear someone else throwing up. So I said oh man are you okay? And he said I don't know. Then I said well I have to get out of here so come get me when you are done. I RACED to the T.V. and turned it on really loud and plugged my ears...you know if you plug and unplug your ears really fast in a row you can't hear anything that makes sence...it's a trick I learned years ago. Just when I thought he must be done I slowly unpluged my ears and he was still going at it. Gross. Well that pretty much ruined all chance of sleep I had. So I wathced the Cosby show on Nick at Night Until 4 then I left for work.

On to something else. I bought Matt a uni-flame bbqer for Valentines day(everyone wants to call it a Weber...it is a UNI-FLAME). So thoughtful I know. Well I got home from running and was STARVING to death because I hadn't had anything to eat and Matt said he would try out the new Uni. Sounds fun. Well we didn't have lighter fluid. Then Matt got lost in Wal Mart trying to fing lighter fluid. Then the coals were taking TOO long to heat up. Two hours have gone bye and when I am hungry for more than 30min I turn into a crazy monster who nobody wants to be around. I told Matt he was too slow and we were having sandwhiches instead...poor Matt. We will save the uni flame for another day.

WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING

I'll tell you what I SHOULD be doing...I SHOULD be sleeping...I SHOULD have been alseep two hours ago. Why? Oh because on Wednesdays I have to open the gym that I work at and that means I have to leave my house at 4:20 in the morning. Since I know that I have to do this and I DREAD it...I get myself all worked up on Tuesday night every minute that goes by thinking that is one less minute of sleep I will get and one more minute of tired I will be in the morning. I get so worked up I get butterflies in my stomach, which make me weird, which makes me think of weird things like what I will wear in the morning and what I will have for breakfast and if we have cream cheese for the lasagna I am making on Thursday and so on and so on...this is really LAME. And because I am so fidgity I will be fidgity all night long agonizing everytime I wake up about having to be up so early. So silly. Well Goodnight for now.

Family Home Evening

For FHE we decided to have a good old fashioned game of wall ball. It has been so sunny and warm that we wanted to be outside. I must say we were all excited, especially me because I used to be a wall ball champ back in the day!(I have a feeling this post is going to be all about me and how good I am, and since I am the one blogging I really can tell it however I want) Anywho...we went to Wal Mart and got a rad smiley face ball and started our tournement. We had lots of fun and I won A LOT much to Matt's dismay...and then just when we were really getting into it our ball poped. That's what you get when you spend 97 cents. Better luck next time. Also if you see an extra girl in our pictures its our new adopted daughter...acutally she goes to our ward and her mom just got married and moved away and Bree wanted to stay here and finish out her senior year so she is staying with us! Crazy times.

Who thinks Matt is excited to play?

Everyone was impressed with my ball skills

Malls Balls vs. Pattie

Not to brag but look at our sexy calves

This pic has nothing to do with wall ball I just want Molly's hair

Notice at the end Matt speaking spanish? That is because our favorite friend came by to sell us home made tamales...they come by once a month or so and barter us out of our money for the week, but I really can't say no. Plus they are good. Plus Plus they are nice and hot ready to eat!

This is Molly cheating and Me still wining...I challenge anyone to a game.

This is Matt wining and in my opinion being a very sore winner.

P.S. Has anyone asked themselves why we have such a white garage door when our house is green and yellow...oh that would be because I backed through our original door a few months ago because I was writing a check and forgot to open the door when I got in my car...so now until summer comes and we can paint our door will be white.

While we were eating dinner tonight(bbq chicken wraps like the ones from Red Robin!) we were testing out our favorite dance moves...I tried to look like a gansta while Matt rapped but wasn't too successful judging by their laughing. It made us all remember Grandma Lake last summer camping.

I also forgot we have big news...We adopted a girl! Well not really but there is a girl from our ward that needed a place to stay for a few months and we voluntered. Her name is Bree she is 18 and Matt is having too good a time teasing her.

Also Molly is getting baptized March 16th!!

Pink Polka Dots

I finally downloaded pictures of Moll's finished room. Super cute. I haven't made a post in a while and thought I had a lot to say but it turns out I don't....So that will be all for now.

My Best Little Pal

On our computer we have a slideshow of all our pictures as our screen saver...Today I was cleaning and got distracted looking at all the pictures and remembering funny things about them.

I especially love looking at our wedding pictures and there were some of Addy(this is mostly for my sis Sara)...she has changed so much. But one picture in particular made me think about how much I just love her. I think we have had a strange connection since she was tiny and I felt it again looking at this picture. Her eyes always seem to be telling you something important that she can 't express with words. I'm glad to get to be her aunt even from so far away.

God Be With You Till We Meet Again

I am having a hard time putting into words what my heart feels inside. President Hinckley was such a sweet man and will always remain close to my heart.

Death never seems real to me, maybe that's because it isn't, not really, not with what we know about the Gospel. I had the strangest feeling thinking about what must be going on in Heaven right now, I feel like I got to see or feel a little glimpse of it and it gives me hope and joy. I feel like a little part of me is there rejoicing with them all. He is whole, healthy and reunited with his love. Amazing. What a blessing it is to die with such peace and excitement for what is greeting you on the other side.
