Fright Night Update

I'm going to go ahead and let this little video speak for itself...I am going to save it forever though so Molly remembers how weird she was!

Fright Night

Matt and I told Molly she had to wait to have her birthday party until Matt came home so she decided to have a Halloween fright night party. First of all I do not like fright nor do I like night and I most certainly do not like the two of them together. But since I am trying to be the best momsister I can be I oblige to her every wish(ha)and do exactly as she asks of me. Matt loves scary movies, and hates to be left out even if he doesn't like the movie, but mostly he doesn't like boys in our house especially when he isn't an arms length away. So needless to say I am sitting alone in my bedroom trying to drown out the sound of screams in the background by doing a little blogging.

These are all the kids loving me for taking multiple pictures until I am satisfied and leave the room...can't you just see the love

Apparently scary movies make you break a sweat

"People saw we're hot"

Boogers on a stick

The most complicated brownies I have ever made...I forgot(or maybe I never did it) that teenagers are afraid to eat in front of each other. They came to my house nice and sweaty from all their sports, no food since lunch and none of them will eat! We have so much stinkin food it is ridiculous and none of them will take a freakin bite. Give me a break!

Day old bath water with worms...mmmm

Kitty litter birthday cake...we love ya Molls!

I am certainly not looking forward to throwing all my money, ooops I meant food, away in the morning because it is old and gross from not being eaten all night. Maybe this will teach me to keep it simple. I could have given them corn dogs and they would have been fine. But oh no...I stress, plan, re-plan, make a billion lists, go to every store in the rouge valley looking for a cauldron, spend all day making things "just so" and hello I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO CARES! When will I ever learn? Oh well I just love it and I would be going crazy if I tried to do it any other way.

On a side note...Our house is for rent!! Ahh...can you believe it?! We are moving AGAIN!

Hello Molly Mormon!

Okay so my dear sweet Grandma was horrified to see the aftermath of my terrible sewing mishap earlier this year. She told me "that sewing machine is just too old and simply won't do". "Yes, yes I know" I told her "but I just can't spend money on a sewing machine, especially since I don't really sew, and I have one that works fine as long as I don't drop it and cause permanent nerve damage to my foot". So she did what Grandma's do best and she went out and bought me the best little sewing machine she could find. It does all sorts of neat little things. Don't anyone be surprised if they get little quilted nic nacs for Christmas this year. I have my first sewing class on Friday...they will be teaching me all sorts of necessesities such as turning it on, threading the needle, putting the pieces together...all that jazz.

Welcome Home!

Since we bought our house from my dad before it was really on the market or anything we never got around to putting grass in the backyard. It had never been a problem before...sure we would get little weeds here and there but nothing to freak out over. We would just whip out our handy dandy weeding kit that my Grandma bought us for Christmas and pull those bad boys out. WELL...when Molly and I got home this summer the little weeds had turned into a jungle that was taller than our fence and so thick you couldn't walk through it. The renters never told us about any weeds so we never thought to ask...big mistake. Matt has been out there going to town with his machete.

What a handy man to have around.

The Longest Post of All Times...and i want you all to read every word of it

Hello New York! Matt and I went with some friends from APX to New York for a little weekend vacation. We were worried about them making it out of Texas since the hurricane was just passing through but they got to fly out a day early and made it safe and sound. We had such a blast and can't wait to get to go back again. It was so worth going even if it was only for a few days!

We all got up nice and early Sunday morning to go to church. We had to ride the ferry, ride the bus, walk forever and once we got there there was a big ol sign that said the building was CLOSED! We were so sad.

Wicked was the most AMAZING thing ever. I wish wish wish we could have gone to more shows...they are just so dang expensive, but SO worth it. I wish I was Ga-Lenda!

Empire State Building...I'm sure this was really cool BUT I took one look over the edge and went right back down. I thought I was going to barf. Everyone else thought it was rad...I think I could have done without.

Ground Zero

Between the plane ride, empire state building, subways, crazy taxi rides, brooklyn bridge and the tour boat I was not feeling too hot. I was so dizzy the whole trip, even after I got home. I was trying to go pee in the hotel and I almost fell off the toilet because I was so stinkin dizzy!

Ellis Island-This place was pretty cool to me. They had a museum inside with pictures and stories of people who came here. It was amazing to me to see so many pictures and names of real people that left everything behind to come to America. They also had a section where you could look up ancestors...that was pretty cool. We didn't have enough info to really find anyone we knew was related to us but it was still fun to look.

Brooklyn Bridge...this place was rad and all but I coulnd't get passed my queasy-ness long enough to really enjoy it. Matt thought it was funny and kept telling me to look up and everytime I did my knees would buckle and I felt like I was falling. I got queasy just looking at the pictures trying to decide which ones to post!

Here we are trying to find our way on the subway

um this might just be the scariest place on earth. Granted I was the only one who was scared but still...there are some WEIRD people down there! I thought we were going to get beat up by this guy sitting across from us. His "girl" was rather large with not too much covering her and a HUGE tatoo on her arm that said "love me forever big pimp". They were making out and whispering to each other the whole ride. Matt likes to stare at weird people as do I but I make sure to look away or not stare for too long...Matt hasn't mastered the art of people watching quite yet so Big Pimp kept looking over at us!

Grand Central Station

Last week at yankees Stadium! Matt loved getting to see the game...I loved getting to people watch. We saw some crazy fans. Had some expensive nachos and hotdogs. Saw the girl in front of us get beat up by her ex...they both talked like they were from the bronx...trust me it makes the story that much more intense. We saw some other drunken fights. We DIDN'T see Jeter break the record of hits hit in Yankee stadium...he struck out all three times. Overall it was a fun trip!

We LOVE New York...can't wait to go back when we're rich and famous!

Camping

Yay...I only had to beat Molly twice to get her to find the usb cord. I can blog again! Molly and I went camping with the rest of the Lakes for Labor day since we were bored and lonely and totally homesick without Matt...okay so maybe I was just bored and lonely and totally homesick without Matt.

The Ladies minus Lauri had a lunch date at Moe's

Moe's chowder is pretty stinkin good if you ignore the grease floating on the top...just close your eyes and it will go away

Okay so I saved the best for last. Cambrie I hope you are reading this....Leslie has adopted a new little cat, Sweety, that the kids found this summer. She was feeling bad leaving her alone for the weekend...what to do what to do. She bought a tent for the cat and a liter box and brought her with us! Who buys a whole tent for a cat?! Who even likes cats?! Silly cat lady :-)

New York

Okay so I have tons and tons of pictures from New York and lots and lots of stories to tell but Little Miss Molly lost our usb cord so I can't download them onto our computer. I hate blogs with no pictures. So I am going to have a blog fest just as soon as we find that dang cord!
