Family Home Evening

For FHE we decided to have a good old fashioned game of wall ball. It has been so sunny and warm that we wanted to be outside. I must say we were all excited, especially me because I used to be a wall ball champ back in the day!(I have a feeling this post is going to be all about me and how good I am, and since I am the one blogging I really can tell it however I want) Anywho...we went to Wal Mart and got a rad smiley face ball and started our tournement. We had lots of fun and I won A LOT much to Matt's dismay...and then just when we were really getting into it our ball poped. That's what you get when you spend 97 cents. Better luck next time. Also if you see an extra girl in our pictures its our new adopted daughter...acutally she goes to our ward and her mom just got married and moved away and Bree wanted to stay here and finish out her senior year so she is staying with us! Crazy times.

Who thinks Matt is excited to play?

Everyone was impressed with my ball skills

Malls Balls vs. Pattie

Not to brag but look at our sexy calves

This pic has nothing to do with wall ball I just want Molly's hair

Notice at the end Matt speaking spanish? That is because our favorite friend came by to sell us home made tamales...they come by once a month or so and barter us out of our money for the week, but I really can't say no. Plus they are good. Plus Plus they are nice and hot ready to eat!

This is Molly cheating and Me still wining...I challenge anyone to a game.

This is Matt wining and in my opinion being a very sore winner.

P.S. Has anyone asked themselves why we have such a white garage door when our house is green and yellow...oh that would be because I backed through our original door a few months ago because I was writing a check and forgot to open the door when I got in my car...so now until summer comes and we can paint our door will be white.

While we were eating dinner tonight(bbq chicken wraps like the ones from Red Robin!) we were testing out our favorite dance moves...I tried to look like a gansta while Matt rapped but wasn't too successful judging by their laughing. It made us all remember Grandma Lake last summer camping.

I also forgot we have big news...We adopted a girl! Well not really but there is a girl from our ward that needed a place to stay for a few months and we voluntered. Her name is Bree she is 18 and Matt is having too good a time teasing her.

Also Molly is getting baptized March 16th!!

Pink Polka Dots

I finally downloaded pictures of Moll's finished room. Super cute. I haven't made a post in a while and thought I had a lot to say but it turns out I don't....So that will be all for now.

My Best Little Pal

On our computer we have a slideshow of all our pictures as our screen saver...Today I was cleaning and got distracted looking at all the pictures and remembering funny things about them.

I especially love looking at our wedding pictures and there were some of Addy(this is mostly for my sis Sara)...she has changed so much. But one picture in particular made me think about how much I just love her. I think we have had a strange connection since she was tiny and I felt it again looking at this picture. Her eyes always seem to be telling you something important that she can 't express with words. I'm glad to get to be her aunt even from so far away.

God Be With You Till We Meet Again

I am having a hard time putting into words what my heart feels inside. President Hinckley was such a sweet man and will always remain close to my heart.

Death never seems real to me, maybe that's because it isn't, not really, not with what we know about the Gospel. I had the strangest feeling thinking about what must be going on in Heaven right now, I feel like I got to see or feel a little glimpse of it and it gives me hope and joy. I feel like a little part of me is there rejoicing with them all. He is whole, healthy and reunited with his love. Amazing. What a blessing it is to die with such peace and excitement for what is greeting you on the other side.

WE HAVE STRIPES!

Matt and Molly have been hard at work today. I have been banished from this family activity because Matt says me just being in the room is "stressing him out". I can't imagine why. I've only dropped the roller on the floor once...and it was covered by a tarp. He really is quite bossy about painting! Jeez.

Onto other topics. Matt told me this was gross and not to post it on our blog ( you have been for- warned) but I decided that if Margaret could talk about throw up towels and Sara could put pictures up of her goopy eye then I can post my own grossness.

Yep that's right I have strep. This does make me gag a little but mostly I think it's rad. Can you see the pus?

LET THE PAINTING BEGIN

Matt is busy taping away in Molly's room. We are going to paint green and white stripes on ALL her walls. Yikes. I think it will be cute, but we shall see. Matt decided that taping the walls off and prepping the room is a perfectly acceptable Sunday activity, but painting is not(I have no idea how all that works out in his head but whatever). I will post tomorrow to show our progress.
