Happy Dad's Day

For Father's Day we went with Matt, Camee and Scott to Cattleman's Steakhouse to eat at their "world famous" restaurant. They have a pretty cool set up. We got to walk around and look at all the animals and then we got on a tour "bus" which was actually like a home made wagon pulled by a John Deer tractor and went out to see the old movie sets. I think it would have been better minus the jeans and the 104 degree temperatures. After the tour we went and ate at the HUGE restaurant. I wish I would have taken a picture of my 10 oz Ranch Burger..I was feeling really sceptical about it since that is almost a pound of burger and I really only like the see through patties from McDonalds but the waitress ASSURED me that it was pretty thin...not really that big at all...Holy Cow, literally, it was like an inch thick!

Happy to be in the shade!

This is an old pioneer home...for RICH pioneers...I wouldn't want to be poor!

Look at all the ghosts in there

Looks like Matt and I are the only ones who like each other

The little boys like the helicopter

They used this helicopter for the movie Courage Under Fire

Matt's been keeping an eye out for a good car for Molly...he can hardly contain his excitement over finding this gem!

Molly LOVES it too!

We really did have a great fun time looking at all the cool things and being amazed that anyone could shoot a movie out in that heat!

Did Someone Say Birthday?

So I am seriously such a spaz...one of these days I will learn how to take a chill pill and relax, but until then I will continue to be the time/planning/decorating nazi. I have spent the last couple of days stressing about making Matt's birthday super great and in the mean time getting super irritated with El Paso(the people, their driving, the stores, the roads!) It probably doesn't help that I had to drive all over the state to find crepe paper and balloons and a happy birthday sign...none of them could possibly be at the same store because that would just be silly. Anyways I think we pulled it altogether and it turned out really great and I didn't have a nervous breakdown afterall.
I seriously LOVE holidays and parties and decorating and all that jazz but I am seriously OCD about things matching and having a theme and being here out of my ellement and without proper supplies really threw me for a loop.

Matt(aka Boss Man) and Camee

Camee didn't think the party would be complete without some White Trash...boy was it good and super white trashy

Molly still isn't sure how to chew with her mouth closed...we are trying to train her

Trip to Texas Day 4

Molls and I drove ALL day and made it to El Paso just after 8...We are SO glad to be here for the summer and not have to travel anymore for a while. I don't think I want to get back in the car for at least a few weeks. My bum was so cramped I could hardly walk! Matt was so great to have the house all spik and span for us when we got here. Now we are on our way to the store to get some food and a t.v. cord. After all the trouble I went through to get that dang t.v. here I forgot all the cords so we can't even watch it!

Trip to Texas Day 3

I think I'm going to have to start keeping a blogging journal because whenever I'm driving or sitting around I always think of way rad things I want to post on the blog and then when I finally get around to doing it I can't think of my way rad things so say and then I think who cares I'll just post some pictures and call it good...so heres some pictures and no raddness.
Day three was wedding day. I took care of the kids all day and tried to stay out of the way. The wedding was really fancy and the food was really good. They had a steel drums guy AND a band and I'm really not jealous, for reals I'm not...I suppose you should have a huge fancy to do if it takes you ten years of living with someone to decide you want to get married. Is that some bitterness I hear? Oh no of course not.
I have to say I was so impressed by the the minister. He is my dad's best buddy...they have matching tatoos (flaming balls, tennis balls that is) and matching earing...interesting I know. Anyways they couldn't find a minister to marry them because they don't belong to any church so Michael went online and for 30 bucks you can become your own minister! Wow. So special. I think I just might try my had at it!

Kids table again(my little cousin asked me if I was an adult I said yes and Wil said no you aren't you are so still a kid! I swear I will forever be thought of that way good grief)

Finally Married

Trip to Texas Day 2

So I am back tracking a couple days since we didn't have internet for a while but oh well. We finally made it to Palm Springs on Friday just in time for the rehersal dinner. It was nice and fancy and I felt lonely at the kids table with out my poops. But the food was good...I just had to close my eyes while I ate the steak so I wouldn't notice how un-cooked it was! Gross.

Road Trip to Texas Day 1

Wow...this day has been long...where to start...
This morning Molls had her 8th grade graduation. I can't believe it...she is getting so old! I will have to post some pics once I get them loaded on here because she looked SO STINKIN CUTE! Right after grad we jumped in our pre-packed car and headed for I5...then I realized I had forgot our T.V. This could not possibly do...so we headed back home real quick to grab it. Since the car was already packed(I am an over achiever if I do say so myself) I kind of had to shove the t.v. in a spot that it didn't really fit...I had to just shut the door hard and give it a little booty shove and it stayed!
Then we drove and drove and drove.
And stopped to eat and eat and eat...and pay 4.59 for gas!!
Then we stopped in a yucky little town to stay the night...we had planned on staying in Bakersfield but since we stoped so many times it was late and I was tired. I have to start my story out by first telling you how much I LOVE staying in hotels...for reals it is like one of my favorite things in all the world to do sometimes I ask Matt if we can stay at the Hotel in our town just for fun(he ALWAYS says no!). I also have to say that I only like Hotels, because Motels have doors that are outside and I do not like that, I like them to be closed in like in a hallway. So we had two Motel choices and we picked Motel 8...I didn't like this idea from the beginning but didn't really want to keep driving. Well when we got out of the car this guy was going in too to check in. He had a fancy red sports car and loafers and shorts that were too short(these things are all a warning sign of a pervy old man). We go in and he was chatting to us about all sorts of things then his drivers license wasn't working(interesting...) and it was taking forever so he told the lady to get us checked in first. I said no thank you...who wants the pervy old man to know what room you are in? Not me! Then he left and went and sat in his car for a few minutes and a few more minutes and I was getting nervous that he was waiting for us to come out. So I decided to trick him and drive around the block a few times to see if he was still there and he WAS...barf literally...so I went in and told the lady that we wanted our money back. The lady said she wondered about him and thought he was being to chummy with us but assured us that all I needed to do was call her and she'd beat the *crap* out of him. I said that wouldn't be necessary, although I believed her without a doubt...she's been a bouncer at a bar for the last 20 years! Anywho we got our money back and left and felt much better. Now we are in a better MOTEL(Matt's cheapness is starting to wear off on me) and we are settling in for a great night of motel t.v. watching.
